Happy New Year! + Giveaway Winner!

Hello 2012! I know this post is a little late but never the less, wishing you all a very Happy New Year! May this year be more fun, happy and rewarding than the last one for all of you!

I had an eventful 2011 with lots of things changing around me and people I love and fortunately they were mostly good changes. So I am now ready to go through another year and see what it has in store for me :)

First things I wanna do in this new year is that I plan on getting back on track with my crafting which has been on a low since past couple of months. I bought and won a few new crafting stuff and I hope to put them to use. The first of those new things I got are the PTI stamps. I am in love the Harvest Berries set and the sunflowers stamp. They are just wonderful and I have so many ideas to play with going on in my mind.

For today, I just created a simple card with lots of stamping.

Supplies: cardstock: Elle Erre Fabriano!;  stamps: PTI(Sunflower, Harvest Berries), PPRS(Victorian Ornaments); inks:Momento (Dandellion), Jenni Bowlin(Brown sugar, Seed Packet), Distress Inks(Walnut Stain)

I am playing along the Make It Monday#47 - A la Carte which is to pick any of the previous challenges to play and I chose the Make It Monday#5- distressing edges for my entry. I love the fact that Lisa used regular scissors for distressing just like I do because I do not own any fancy distressing tools.

I also want to enter this card for the Wee Memories Scrappy Saturday Challenge#81 - New. I am sad that Jenny is closing this challenge this month because I have loved their challenges ever since they begin and I want to make sure that I participate in the last few. Here's wishing Jenny good health and quality family time this year!

This new year card also fits perfectly for CraftyJC Challenge#13 - Something New.

ETA: Adding this for Varna's Stamping Challenge! Thanks for letting me know, Hussena! I love supporting people who venture out into new things and I wish Varna all the luck :)

Diwali Wishes

Hello people!! The weekend is so near that it makes me happy already :D Finally I started on my Diwali cards for this year. I know I am terribly late but I am trying to make it up. For my readers who aren't aware of the Diwali festival, Diwali is known as the festival of lights and one of the biggest festivals in India signifying the victory of good over evil. This year we are celebrating Diwali on 5 November. We celebrate by decorating our houses, lighting candle, fireworks, lots of good food, and lots and lots of sweets (I love this part :D)

Okay now enough of blabbering, here is a card a made for the Moxie Fab World Challenge - Perfectly Placed Pleats  and Speedy the Cat's Friend's Challenge - Stitching

Look how the paper pleats make for the cutest candles. Doesn't that stitched sentiment look pretty too?

After I made one and liked it, I went crazy experimenting with colors, size, and various different things :D
Here is another variations I came up with.

10 things I love about you..

...thats what I told my DH yesterday as it was our engagement anniversary. One year back on 16th of May, we got engaged and I wanted to gift him something special and different and that is when I stumbled upon Monicka Wright's blog and decided to case her wonderful note card. I took the colors from Smidapaper May Color Challenge, polka dot theme from Lawnscaping Challenge. And I am also playing along Wee Memories Scrappy Saturday Challenge#56 - Get Sticky.

Supplies: papers: Echo Park Papers(For the Record);embellishment: Element stickers from Echo Park Springtime collection, Little Girl, For the Record, Walk in the Park, Twine from the twinery(charcoal)
I used one of my favorite Echo Park collection "For the Record" for this card and love the way it turned out. Added a little hand-stitching along the edges, embellished each tag with lot of elementary stickers from different Echo Park Collection and had the most fun writing those 10 things about DH. It made me fell so ble…

A year in review 2016 + Giveaway!

Hello,

As we step into the new year, I wanted to take a moment and reflect upon this past year which has been mostly amazing for me. 2016 was tremendous for me in terms of both professional and personal life. Yes, there were moments and events that I would not never like to experience again but today I just wanted to focus on the good and happy.

So today I am going to highlight my favourite projects and moments throughout this year. I also have a giveaway for you guys as a thank you for always being so supportive and appreciative. You always motivate me to do better and more.

I started year 2016 with this close-to-my-heart watercolor piece. This artwork is special because this was the first of the many! I fell in love with using stamps to build watercolor scenes and kept making them throughout the year.

This photo of the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco has so many lovely memories from our big family vacation this year. It was fun converting it into a watercolor piece. Also this …
