Nirmal Watercolors(similar to Peerless watercolors)- Storage & Coloring + Giveaway!

Hello, Today I have a couple of cards to share that I made for the Card Shower that Jennifer Mcguire is hosting on her blog. I am big fan of Jennifer’s videos and all the fabulous things she makes and shares and I absolutely loved the idea of Share Handmade Kindness Campaign that she hosted last month. Unfortunately I couldn’t participate then but I thought I’d at least make time to send out cards for these kids. The cards are for a couple of kids who are battling cancer and I think it is such a great idea to shower them with cute cards and put a smile on their face.

I wanted to give a shout out to Tejal for sending me these new watercolours which are similar to the peerless watercolours that have been doing the round in the blog world. These are really inexpensive and easily available in India. Thank you so much Tejal for taking the effort and sending me these.

In the video I talk about these watercolours that come in the form of sheets and have the pigment on top which you can easily pick with a wet paintbrush and apply directly to your projects.

Giveaway

I am giving away one half of my palette to anyone who would like to try these colors out. Watch the video for the details on how to go about it :)

Have a great day!

  1. WOW Ujjwal, that is so generous of you. Your cards are sweet and those colours really are vibrant. I tried to find the Peerless watercolours that you were talking about a few months ago. Unfortunately here (Canada) in my area I can't get them. Thanks for the chance.

Diwali Wishes

Hello people!! The weekend is so near that it makes me happy already :D Finally I started on my Diwali cards for this year. I know I am terribly late but I am trying to make it up. For my readers who aren't aware of the Diwali festival, Diwali is known as the festival of lights and one of the biggest festivals in India signifying the victory of good over evil. This year we are celebrating Diwali on 5 November. We celebrate by decorating our houses, lighting candle, fireworks, lots of good food, and lots and lots of sweets (I love this part :D)

Okay now enough of blabbering, here is a card a made for the Moxie Fab World Challenge - Perfectly Placed Pleats  and Speedy the Cat's Friend's Challenge - Stitching

Look how the paper pleats make for the cutest candles. Doesn't that stitched sentiment look pretty too?

After I made one and liked it, I went crazy experimenting with colors, size, and various different things :D
Here is another variations I came up with.

10 things I love about you..

...thats what I told my DH yesterday as it was our engagement anniversary. One year back on 16th of May, we got engaged and I wanted to gift him something special and different and that is when I stumbled upon Monicka Wright's blog and decided to case her wonderful note card. I took the colors from Smidapaper May Color Challenge, polka dot theme from Lawnscaping Challenge. And I am also playing along Wee Memories Scrappy Saturday Challenge#56 - Get Sticky.

Supplies: papers: Echo Park Papers(For the Record);embellishment: Element stickers from Echo Park Springtime collection, Little Girl, For the Record, Walk in the Park, Twine from the twinery(charcoal)
I used one of my favorite Echo Park collection "For the Record" for this card and love the way it turned out. Added a little hand-stitching along the edges, embellished each tag with lot of elementary stickers from different Echo Park Collection and had the most fun writing those 10 things about DH. It made me fell so ble…

A year in review 2016 + Giveaway!

Hello,

As we step into the new year, I wanted to take a moment and reflect upon this past year which has been mostly amazing for me. 2016 was tremendous for me in terms of both professional and personal life. Yes, there were moments and events that I would not never like to experience again but today I just wanted to focus on the good and happy.

So today I am going to highlight my favourite projects and moments throughout this year. I also have a giveaway for you guys as a thank you for always being so supportive and appreciative. You always motivate me to do better and more.

I started year 2016 with this close-to-my-heart watercolor piece. This artwork is special because this was the first of the many! I fell in love with using stamps to build watercolor scenes and kept making them throughout the year.

This photo of the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco has so many lovely memories from our big family vacation this year. It was fun converting it into a watercolor piece. Also this …
